Quebec Smoke Over Boston

The smoke from the fires in Quebec blanketed New England yesterday, it actually smelled like smoke everywhere and gave a strange almost fog like view. First I went for a walk along the river
Then I went to a rooftop where one can usually see miles away, but not yesterday
We smelled it too and could NOT figure out what was burning! Thanks for solving the mystery!
At first it seemed like way too many barbecues going at once – but I had heard about it on npr in the am.
Interesting – Smoke gets in your eyes.
