On a bitterly cold day last week, I was walking up a hill admiring the sparse pastoral scene of young bare trees. My kind of place

My jaw dropped at your use of a hill and the composition chosen. Reminds me of Calvary and then the turn around to photograph Jerusalem. I know. I know. It could have been just coincidence, but I am not normally thinking these things and it is the first thought I had upon viewing these. Did you notice this, Lynn?
Actually – no, but I do like it when my images do have an effect, so thank you.
Extreme contrast between directions indeed, Lynn. Though my response was not as dramatic as Leslie’s.
