Mathematical or Emotional?

I was really drawn to this spot yesterday. One can interpret the scene as full of mathematical symbols or the lines could also symbolize tension, crossroads, and a yellow streak of fear or it could just be shadows in a parking lot. I don’t usually get so analytical about photos, but this one just made me do it.
You really did cross the line on this one Lynn.
Love it and all ideas.
You punster you.
Lynn, you know I’ve said this before. You have a special eye for seeing details around you! A parking lot, until now I would not have regarded that as a photo opportunity
That’s so nice, Truels, maybe if I held my head up high I wouldn’t see these things.
The black cross seems the most symbolic part of it to me – like a ‘no’. The yellow stripe looks dominated by it. Perhaps I would have called ‘Domination’.
Whatever, I like the compostion and the contrasts.
Or, I could have used Nancy Reagan’s famous – Just Say No.
I like this very much, Lynn. I don’t think it has to be mathematical OR emotional, it can be – and is – both. Certainly the yellow line against the cross creates a sort of tension, as does the way the lines push against the frame of the shot. In other words, a great abstract work.
Yeah, I was in a very analytical mood, thinking about numbers and thinking about a stressful situation when I saw this. Strange combination. I’m really glad you do like this one Graham.
