Caustics
March 1st, 2012 § 4 Comments

Caustics are light patterns that are created when light from a light source illuminates a diffuse surface via one or more specular reflections. This image completes my mini-goal of the last week, which was to post six photos here and six on redbubble from an amazing ten minutes at a pond that I have been to more times than I can count. I don’t know exactly what happened, maybe it was the light, the wind, or the urgency I felt, but somehow things just went right that day. Meanwhile, March has come in like a lion with rain, snow, and wind.
Very pretty, Lynn. Nice tones and composition.
Thanks, Tracy, this small section of the pond yielded so many different views.
You have made some super cool abstract shots from there in this series. And like the others – this is great – so yes, things went very fine for you that day!
Thank you so much Truels, it was a good day.
