Lots of rain means a lot of melting, torrents in a normally calm brook, and a happier me.

I usually try to avoid litter and trash in my photos, even though it is everywhere I go, but this little wrapper reminded me of a bow. And yes, another concrete barrier, holding in the water.

Natural Aliens

Roots or rock, alien type forms were found near the end of the brook yesterday.

I did get to the end, where it turned into a marshy wetland before going into the river, but it was a no photo finish. There was too much brush and no paths to get a good view.

Brook By Brick Building

Another section of the sometimes underground brook surfacing, between a brick building and a parking lot.

This is a super crop zoom of another photo at the same location, showing what appears to be the brook going under a cemetery. I was unable to scale the 6 foot fence to get a closer look, but it could be that the brook bends here. My mission for next week is to find out whether it goes under or around the grave stones.
