The Light Aquatic
January 18, 2011 § 4 Comments
I was walking in front of a blue green glass building, in the late afternoon. The light was hitting the building and reflecting on the snow. Since the first floor’s glass is recessed, the snow in the foreground was not affected, but I, being taller than the snow, was bathed in the blue green light. It felt like I was in an aquatic place instead of a cold world full of snow. I think it made me warmer for a little while. Here’s the long view farther along the reflection of the building.
makes me think of the arctic sea

Hmm, never been there, is the snow strangely colored there too?
Lucky you! I saw something similar last week but didn’t have time to go there and take a picture of it. Now it has melted down to a load of dirt. Charming… not! 😦
I wish I had been in that light today instead of on all the ice. Ice gets worse the older one gets.
