River within a River

I had originally planned to post the two most colorful images from yesterday, but with the combination of the extreme cold and YesBut’s prompting me to show winter in black & white, I decided to forsake color today. You are looking down a snow covered slope to a river covered in snow, with what I assume is a strip of thinner ice.
It makes me feel cold just to look at this shot! Black & white is perfect for this subject.
I feel cold, because the heat is not working properly at work, but that’s a whole ‘nother story. Glad you like the b&w.
I was warm, now I’m cold, but your photo warms the heart.
Home with the heat cranked up, I am finally warm. The heat wasn’t working properly at work, so I have been so cold all day.
Hope you’re thawed out by now, Lynn.
Like how you caught the greys of the water and shadows to get some definition in the snow. Nice.
It is warmer today, getting ready for the next big snowstorm tomorrow night. Feeling a little snow blind these days.
