Lady Slippers

The state flower of Minnesota is the rare Showy Lady Slipper, that one can occasionally find while walking in the woods. When I saw these Lady Slipper orchids it brought back memories, until I looked inside. This is a case where something can be beautiful and ugly at the same time.
You think they are ugly? Au contraire! 🙂
Just the hairy black spotted inside, but on the outside and from afar they are gorgeous.
Beautiful, and the macro looks like something outa space, lol.
I agree with Milkayphoto too.
Thanks Mac, I think the inside looks downright carnivorous.
