Any flower blooming after the hot dry summer looks good to me.

Most wild flowers are considered “weeds” yet they are some of the prettiest flowers. Even if they are simple and plain.
Yes, the distinction is blurry.
Here the so called ‘weeds’–generally the local native plants–are blooming beautifully in orange, yellow and white. Butterflies, moths and bees flock to them –especially where there are so few other flowering plants.

Our drought has really limited our native plants this year and it’s sad but it has felt like autumn this week and we have had some much needed rain.
