Great name for the early autumn wildflowers with a snap dragon appearance. Also know as common toadflax, another not too shabby name.

This photo captures them well, those modest but bright little wildflowers were a favorite growing up, and I’m still delighted to see them.
I’m delighted that some wildflowers managed to bloom in the drought. I wonder what Matthew’s rain will do for the ailing flora.
