There are two squirrel things I have heard to watch out for pre-winter to determine the amount of snow we will be getting.
1) Are they obese? If so, then we will get a lot of snow and they are storing up for a long hard winter.
2) Is there a lot of squirrel road kill? If so, they are so frantic to find food that they pay no attention to cars.
Well, they look moderately plump, but I hadn’t seen any flattened ones on the road-until the last few days and now the snow is heading our way.
Fact or fiction – I don’t know.
