The past 10 months have been a time filled with groundhog days and feeling like one is climbing sideways.

And things have not become magically better. I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions, but did decide about a month ago to start collecting random bits of nature and start a sketchbook with 15 minutes of drawing or painting a day. And in the last week, I have started exploring the macro capabilities of my newish camera. The in focus part of this lichen is less than 5 mm and I thought I could draw this life-size. Haha. Since we are all going to be stuck at home for the time being, wishing you all a Happy New and Creative Year. Even if it means bringing the outdoors inside.

This one was stuck to the bumper of my car on a brighter day after some showers. May everyone be safe and sensible in the US for Thanksgiving Day tomorrow. Staying away one year will make the years ahead better for all.
