First I found a dandelion trying to bloom and then this wildflower or flowering grass blooming. It seems too cold, but perhaps the fallen leaves provide enough warmth to encourage blooming.

I’m glad I did get one photo of peak foliage before two days of crazy storms. Now most of the leaves are on the ground. Seems to happen every year.

I took yesterday off to do some errands and then see autumn and be by water. Mission accomplished. We are not quite at peak season yet, but getting there.

While busily photographing flowers in the garden, autumn began. We are not at peak foliage season yet. I hope the rain in the upcoming days doesn’t make that less beautiful than usual, because we need rain so badly.
