for cabin fever, the winter doldrums, and the oh no another foot of snow in forecast for this weekend blues, by going to see orchids. This one was pretty in purple.

Then there was light © Lynn Wiles 2012
After the darkness of night, I thought I’d post some light. White dogwood flowers against a pale blue sky. This was taken one afternoon at the same location of the last three posts.

Euphoria with a B © Lynn Wiles 2012
When I planted this plant, with it’s tiny white flowers, I looked at the tag quickly and thought hmmm, Euphoria, what a great name – if you can’t feel it, plant it. Then I realized it was called Euphorbia not euphoria, so I shot it.

Looking for Light © Lynn Wiles 2012
It was dusk by the time we were able to go for our walk. I brought my older camera and decided to try auto with flash fill. There was a glow where the waning light shined on some of the trees in the background. My photo / dog walks have been very therapeutic these days.
I’ve been hinting that there’s been something worrisome going on lately and today I just have to say it. My 94 year old mother fell about a month ago and instead of gradually getting better, she got worse to the point where her pain became unbearable. She was admitted to the hospital over the weekend and they still haven’t found a way to manage the pain. So I am publicly asking for good thoughts to be sent her way, as I look for some light in this situation.

I found some shapes and patterns that attracted my attention.
