It rained last night. Springlike temperatures today. All the snow and ice has melted to reveal crocus greens emerging from the ground. But wait, snowstorm on Friday with below freezing temperatures for the following week. Spring will have to wait.

I found this strange green stuff that looks a bit like a tropical succulent, but it’s not tropical here at all. To add to the mystery, it disappeared by the next day. What is/was it????

First I found a dandelion trying to bloom and then this wildflower or flowering grass blooming. It seems too cold, but perhaps the fallen leaves provide enough warmth to encourage blooming.
