Saturday afternoon was beautiful, chilly, but with beautiful light. I think I’ll post some of the photos I took that day rather than focus on the nasty weather outside.

The eyes in this wooden fence look like feet with natural turnout to me.

Berries of blue and seedpods too, hanging on a wooden fence. Had the look of a rustic Christmas mantel to me.

I don’t know whether this is actually a wildflower or a wild weed growing against a wooden slat fence.

Thanks to my neighbor for planting a pretty flowering vine that has moved into my yard through the fences.

I wonder why they left such oddly shaped parts of an old tree around the fence and how the grass has remained so green here.

I’ve been on the fence, wondering about how much personal complaining I should do, but it is relevant to this day and this blog. After the cast came off my broken foot, my arch was falling and a tendon pulled. Then I came down with bronchitis for two weeks. It has been tough getting out and walking and taking photos and climbing all the stairs I have to climb. So reason #1 that I am glad it’s October is that now I can start getting my strength and stamina back again.
