Nemesia fruticans, tiny purple flowers that are called Bluebird (not blue). They reminded me of butter, but I couldn’t figure out why until I realized this is the color of my butter dish.

I’m a great fan of miniatures and have been pleasantly surprised at the range of mini flowers that have bloomed from seed packets this year. This is Lobularia maritima measuring 4mm across. I won’t always know the names nor measure each one in this series.

I’m back, maybe sporadically, and once again excited about photography. Pictured is a Toad Lily given to me by my youngest daughter on my recent really covid old birthday and shot with my new camera, thanks to mAgdA at roos zwart. A compact, inexpensive camera that excels at macro photography. You can see that I like dark reddish purple markings on flowers.

Saturday the birdbath was frozen and on Sunday the first Hellebore bloomed. Happy Leap Year Day.
