For a Mother’s Day gift, my nice daughters gave me a get away to Portland, ME, where we never managed to visit before. But, it rained on that weekend, so we went on Monday morning and got back from our literal rain check last night. It was nice to get away and photograph new stuff that will follow in the days ahead.

I wish I would have thought of doing a panorama. Reading left to right with majors gaps, this is the view from west of the harbor islands to the city.

The sky changed dramatically from the bright light of the sun through the clouds onto the water to the city haze.
