On the smooth iced lake, that was starting to warm and break up, I found this odd formation. There may be a large stone underneath this fancy cap of ice.

The cold front is upon us, so I decided to see how a lake begins to freeze. Yes, I went to the beach. I hope you can see the thin sheets of ice loaded with bubbles. I converted it to b&w, so it’s easier to see without the distraction of color. Quite the contrast from the day before.

A Great Lake in the photo above and land through clouds below. Just got back from a trip to Minneapolis. These were taken with my phone through a dirty airplane window.
