Due to a pronounced scar on this tree trunk it created a deep shadow. The moss is greening around it. More crocuses are blooming, but it isn’t quite spring beyond the garden.

The Light

I was struck by the beautiful light next to a path through a wooded area. I hope it comes across in the photo.

Light Focus

I was so focused on trying to capture the light shining on the waves that I didn’t even notice the seagull, ducks or boats.

A burst of sunshine behind a new African Violet leaf while it’s very cold outside. I hear there may be spring like temperatures next week.

Stuck

Stuck © Lynn Wiles 2020
It’s been so cold that the snow hasn’t melted off the door or even the outside light. Meanwhile, the snow plow got stuck on Thursday and no one has come back to plow or treat my street. Like the snow on the door, I am stuck.

I’m a great fan of miniatures and have been pleasantly surprised at the range of mini flowers that have bloomed from seed packets this year. This is Lobularia maritima measuring 4mm across. I won’t always know the names nor measure each one in this series.

A big flake lighting up the night by a tree with lights. Wishing all who celebrate a Merry Christmas and a belated Winter Solstice to all. Let there be light.

Reality Bites

Reality Bites © Lynn Wiles 2019
Over my garden fence, the Harvest Moon waning and the bright lights of the overnight construction going on and on. Now in its fifth week. I have decided that considering how extraordinarily busy I am at work by day with trouble sleeping because of the noise all night, I have to at least temporarily give up on everything extra for the time being. This includes photographing and blogging. Otherwise I may go ‘insane in the membrane’ and I don’t want that. Hope to be back someday in the not too distant future.
