I started this blog eleven years ago today. Who knew overnight construction (still going on) and overwork (lessening somewhat) would get in the way of this blog? I didn’t, but life goes round and round. I hope to post every now and then.

Over my garden fence, the Harvest Moon waning and the bright lights of the overnight construction going on and on. Now in its fifth week. I have decided that considering how extraordinarily busy I am at work by day with trouble sleeping because of the noise all night, I have to at least temporarily give up on everything extra for the time being. This includes photographing and blogging. Otherwise I may go ‘insane in the membrane’ and I don’t want that. Hope to be back someday in the not too distant future.

The construction is so bad around my house and city in general, that a praying mantis actually hitched a ride on my windshield for over a mile until it hopped off in a quieter neighborhood.

Ever since the demise of one half of my pussy willow tree, it has been throwing out shoots in abundance. At first it was around the stump, but now they are migrating up the trunk of the other half. Yes, I’ve been cutting them off and this one made a face.
