This year the black locust trees seem to have quadrupled. They are very pretty when in bloom, but I fear that someday they will take over everything.

In a stand of poplar trees, one fell down and it was the only one to have these catkins. Perhaps it is a cottonwood?

I’ve eaten the apples that fell from this tree, but never happened to see it in bloom before. A not sour visual treat.
