Hopefully today will be the last day of the heatwave. It’s rough going for me and my pup, she has a lot of energy to burn off but gets sick from the heat. And the construction workers are starting way before I have any desire to be awake.

My first sighting of chicory each year makes me happy, maybe because of my love of blue flowers. Today is the 4th of July time to celebrate America (the red white and blue), but I’m not feeling that these days.
